There is no way in the world I would ever spend $90,000 on a pair of sneakers and chances are you wouldn’t either. But apparently, somebody did. 

The shoe is a limited edition Nike sneaker designed by rapper Kanye West. Somebody paid that crazy price for a pre-ordered pair on eBay. Nike plans to release about 3,000 to 5,000 pairs.  The Yeezy 2 sneakers will officially go on sale tomorrow, with a retail price tag of $245 per pair. But good luck finding them.

Sneaker collectors, know as sneakerheads, have already been running around town trying to order them. This is the second Nike shoe designed by Kanye West. The first one came out in 2009 and created such a buying frenzy that many retailers decided to try a raffle system this time around.

I guess some people will pay any price to put their best foot forward. If the shoe fits…
