When my dad and I were writing our book, one thing we did on a regular basis was read the Editorial pages of the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times and compare and contrast them.
Now to be honest, I don’t read them on a regular basis anymore, only occasionally. But, I’m glad I did last week because I was lucky enough to see one written by Daniel Henninger called Hope and Change 2.0.
Here, Mr. Henninger writes about the election and the youth vote. How, this time around, President Obama is missing the mark big time with younger voters. The world that President Obama campaigns about is not the world the 18 to 24 year old wants.
The 18 to 24 year old wants to access the world of the Web and everything in its orbit. Mr. Henninger calls this Web world history’s most powerful engine of capitalism, and in order to get access to it, you need a job, something which a lot of 18 to 24 year olds can’t say they have.
I get it and I like it. Here it is if you want to read it too.
