Warren Buffett got knocked down a notch on the list of the world’s wealthiest. He’s now number four on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. Walter “Bucky” Hellwig, who manages $17 billion of Mr. Buffett’s holdings says “Buffett’s holdings have done well recently, but not all of them.”
Moving into the number three spot is Amancio Ortega, a 76 year old Spanaird who founded retailer Inditex SA, owner of the Zara clothing chain. His fortune rose $1.6 billion to $46.6 billion yesterday.
The Bloomberg Billionaires Index was started on March 5th. It tracks the fortunes of the world’s wealthiest people based on market and economic changes. It’s updated every business day at 5:30pm in New York.
