Have a Coke and a Smile
That’s what they’re going be doing in Myanmar. Coca-Cola is going to start selling its soda there for the first time in sixty years.
Myanmar is making its move towards democracy after years of oppressive military rule. So, just last month the U.S. Government said they will suspend restrictions on American investments there.
Coca-Cola plans to import its products from neighboring countries while it establishes local operations in Myanmar. They’re also going to donate $3 million to support job creation for women in that country.
Now, there are only two countries left in the world that do not sell Coca-Cola products. Cuba and North Korea. And there’s only one city in the world that won’t sell you a super-sized soda. New York.
Let’s all chill with a cold coke, a smile, and some capitalism.
